It was all change at our house this weekend. Janis’ ex husband Tom left on Friday to fly back to St Martins in the Caribbean whilst the same day her partner Andy arrived from Brighton where he is doing business.

Then they all left on Saturday morning for a weekend in Southampton and Margaret and I had the house to ourselves for the first time since mid June, and took the chance to catch up with various domestic duties.

In the evening I visited Lytchett Bay to get things ready for tomorrows ringing session. We saw a Nightjar briefly and trapped a small number of Swallows at roost.
